Counselor in Training
For rising Sophomores in HS, our youngest volunteer counselors learn just what it takes to be a counselor. You will support the Lead and Junior Counselor with group tasks, engaging with campers and staff and assisting with administrative tasks and duties.
Junior Counselor
For Rising Juniors and Seniors in HS, our JC’s will work with our Lead Counselors to help make the summer experience for our Campers.
Lead Counselor
Lead counselors are our oldest counselors which are 18+ and mostly composed of College Students. They will lead your campers in one of the best summers that they will never forget!
Specialist
Do you have an interest or skill that you would like to teach and show campers? Are you a teacher looking for an incredibly fun Summer Opportunity? Specialist Counselors are our most talented employees that teach campers what camp is all about. You will remain at your Specialty Area while campers and groups visit you while you conduct your planned lesson for the day.
Specialists Activities Include Arts & Crafts, Outdoor Ed/Orienteering, Sports and Games, Music, Yoga, STEM/Science, Archery, working with horses, or working on our high and low ropes course elements. Inclusion/Special Education
We are looking for highly motivated and growth oriented individuals who can help with our Inclusion and Special Education needs. Sometimes at camp, we have friends who need a little more one-on-one connection! Thankfully, we have individuals with huge hearts on campus who help to aid in transitions and behaviors with some of our special friends. This position requires someone who can problem solve on their feet, and make quick decisions in escalating situations.
Lifeguard
Do you have a current lifeguard certification, or are willing to become certified? If so, we are in need of courteous, safety conscious individuals to help watch over our brand new aquatic center. We have a splash pad area for our little ones, as well as a full-length pool with swimming lanes. Additionally, we have a diving board that leads into our (insert depth here) deep end. To top it all off, we have our exhilarating water slide, and all of these areas would be under your domain. There are also additional opportunities to help out with supplemental swimming lessons and earn extra money on top of your hourly wage.
Great Adventures Counselor
Do you have a passion for working with children in Preschool and Jr. Kindergarten? If so, Great Adventures will be right up your alley. Lead Congressional’s youngest through daily activities, and through their earliest stages. We have our wonderful pool available to our youngsters, as well as our ponies from the paddocks! We try to get outside as much as we can and explore our beautiful 40-acre campus. We never know what adventures may await us at this age, so it takes someone with a lot of patience.
Teacher Application/Admin
Are you a teacher during the year and looking for work during the summer? Do you have a leadership or administrative background and you’re looking for an exhilarating environment to work in? If either of these fit your description, Congressional Camp has a varied assortment of opportunities for you! We are looking for specialists to teach classes, and leadership team members to help run everyday programs.
